ayurvastra | Healing Cloth
.
Ayurvastra is an ancient Ayurvedic practice where fabric is dyed and finished in herbal infusions so that every thread carries the properties of the plants.
The process begins with a base bath of restorative herbs — neem, sandalwood, tulsi, vetiver, aloe, and triphala — followed by dyes chosen for their color and medicinal purpose: turmeric’s gold to purify, indigo’s blue to calm, madder’s red to strengthen, lotus’s blush to soothe.
These garments are medicine made wearable: color and care held in plant-dyed cloth, designed to support the body and honor the earth.
